My Apple Watch just flashes the apple logo and then turn off. I've tried to charge my apple watch after about a year of it being dead and in the box and when I put it on a charger it just flashes the apple logo but never turns on.

Time for a new watch then. Your watch is no longer eligible for service as it's obsolete. Apple Watch 9 will be coming in the fall.
