iPhone 14 Pro Max randomly turns off in the middle of the night.

I would really like to know why my 3 month old iPhone 14 Pro Max randomly turns off in the middle of the night. Genius Bar viewed logs I transmitted earlier in the day and when I asked what the logs are pointing to the response was unforgivable. "We don't understand any of that stuff, that's information for engineering." So I asked "What good is that? What good is not knowing? Since an iPhone has been my primary, and quite honestly only, source of time and alarms for over 15 years I need an answer."

The answer was format and reinstall the iPhone from a Mac. Sounds great... they even did it for me. I then asked "So, who's coming home with me to finish this? You may want to bring a sleeping bag." The "Genius" laughed, I did not. Because now I have to...

Pray! It's truly wondrous that the most expensive phone I have ever bought in the known history of the this planet can cause so much to fail and no one knows WHY.

Nope. I agree that it could be an issue as it was with my iPhone 11 Max Pro when the battery was at 82% and Apple refused to replace the battery until it was below 80% as part of their "Green" commitment. Hence the new iPhone 14 Max Pro.

I say "Nope" because they performed a complete system diagnostics and had no issues. My prying eyes on the log data showed a system process at 05172023 at 04:00:00 running in /usr/system utilizing 105% of the CPU.

Yup, it actually said 105%... I'm assuming that's new math. That's when I was told "We don't understand any of that stuff, that's information for engineering."

iPhone Randomly turning off

this could be the case of battery issues like a defective or discharged battery, chemically aged battery, too hot or too cold operating temperatures, don't keep it to close to a window on hot days and to put on your pillow while you use it it can overheat overnight and could cause it to crash of in some cases even death

heres how to hard reset it it should help a bit Force restart iPhone - Apple Support (NZ)

My iPhone 14 Pro Max which I have not had for long had just turned itself off, I put my phone on the side of my bed it wasn’t on charge and as I went to check my alarm it had turned off, I panicked think it was broken I was holding the buttons down for a while and nothing was happening then I had the apple logo come up with a line across it loading. Does anyone know what this is ?
