bugs with my AirPods pro 2 case

The case of the AirPods Pro 2 is not displayed on the phone, there is no charging sound of the case and it does not appear in the battery widget nor in find my. This is not the first time this has happened, the bug was fixed in a software update a month ago but it has returned. It doesn't matter which iPhone I connected it still had the bug and resetting the headphones didn't help. How do I fix the bug?

Resetting the headphones was a good method to try.


Wondering if you have updated the iPhone(s) to the latest iOS version, 16.4.1 (seems that contained bug-fixes) or 16.4.1(a)

That way the firmware on the AirPods could be automatically updated if needed.


If you have updated to the latest iOS version, you could try re-starting the iPhone, which can sometimes restore order: Restart your iPhone

You might want to check that you are only connecting AirPods to one device at a time. (Eg may not be switching between multiple devices.)


      See if turn off / turn on bluetooth helps

Check if you have the latest firmware update.

On the iPhone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button  next to the name of your AirPods.


The article below lists the latest firmware versions:

Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version for your AirPods.

If a firmware update is needed, try leaving the AirPods connected to power overnight with the iPhone close by.

Same issue is coming with my AirPods Pro 2nd generation.. I have bought this device on 30 July and case replacement was also done from Apple Store on 2nd August. Issue still continues No sound in charging case in any event “Enable Charging Case Sound “ is grayed out in AirPods settings not able to toggle. Battery percentage is battery widget.
