MacBook making clicking noise

Hello!

Recently my macOS Monterey has been making periodic clicking noises while in Sleep mode (about every 5-10 minutes). When it does this, the screen will light up, showing the mouse, and it will make a clicking noise for about 30 seconds. Then the noise will stop and the screen will go completely dark again. Any idea why my MacBook is doing this and if it's something that needs to be fixed?

Thanks!

✽ Wondering if a particular app is in use when Mac wakes / resumes sleep, eg: maybe a notification of some kind (with a sound?) is triggered eg: by incoming mail or message:

✽ Maybe a focus is set up to alert you of something.

✽ Could there be some sort of a schedule set up?

Eg: Schedule your Mac desktop computer to turn on or off

✽ If the issue is occurring when the Mac is plugged into power,

check that the connection is stable, and the adapter is not at fault

✽. Sometimes third-party (non-Apple) apps (eg: including unnecessary virus checkers, ad blockers etc.) can cause issues. Try turning off any such apps., (even "Chrome", etc can cause issues) . See if there is any change, and if you wish, uninstall using the uninstaller from the developer.

All the best :-
