Tax Free

Hello, I am going to buy a new IPhone from Spain. I want to get a full tax refund through Apple. There is a lot of information on the internet and I am lost among them. Some websites say that the DIVA document will be required and some websites say that I just need to send a customs-certified invoice to vat.refunds@apple.com. Could you please tell me which documents I need to get and whether it is more advantageous to shop online or physically through store in Spain? Thank you so much!

Hey iremtanik,

For questions about Tax Exemption, it's best to contact Apple to Get Support.

"Tax-exempt orders

To place an order on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, please call an Apple Store Specialist at 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE. You will need to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is being shipped. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal tax exemption certificates are not applicable.

Note, for corporate tax-exempt purchases, only corporate-issued credit cards for the applicable tax-exempt organization will be accepted as a method of payment (i.e., no cash, personal check, or personal credit cards will be accepted)." Payment, Financing, Refunds and VAT - Shopping Help - Apple

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
