Migration assistant From Intel to M2, is the procedure any different to that described in the standard migration advice article?

I just used standard full Migration Assistant during the initial system startup, when asked if I wanted to transfer files from another system.

If there are intel apps, they still run via Rosetta. You can always replace them later. Applications-> Utilities-> System Information-> Software (tab) can tell you what apps are still intel, so you can look for replacements.

I would not transfer any applications from the Intel Mac to the M2 device. Rather, I would check with each third-party application vendor to see if they now offer a Universal2, or Apple Silicon specific application build and install these instead.

The printer/scanner device drivers, unless you were already using Apple's built-in Airprint support, may or may not have vendor specific updates for Ventura. If AirPrint, do not be surprised if you need to again configure it for your device.

Have a new APFS formatted TIme Machine drive connected after the migration to perform your first full backup on Ventura. I happen to use Crucial X8 SSD (1050 MB/s) connected via USB-C and these have been fast and reliable.
