I just bought an iPhone14. There is no AM/PM displaying in front of the time. The time format is not 24Hrs. Still the AM/PM is not appearing. I am not able to make out whether it is the morning time or the evening time.
Is it a bug? If it is a bug, I request Apple to bring in the FIX on priority.
Can Apple team / anyone please help me out here.

The behavior that you're describing is expected. If you open the Clock app and choose the "World Clock" tab at the bottom, the AM and PM designations will be shown. You also have the option to enable 24 hour time you mentioned.

Can the am/pm designation be added back to the time display? There’s plenty of space for it. It’s much more visually appealing and also convenient to see am/pm

I totally agree…. I need my time display to show. AM and PM. I’m older and have to screen shot when I twke my meds so I don’t take too soon and at times will try to figure out with tired if morning or night. APPLE please fix this

I just had similar situation happened to me again. I had my iPad and iPhone and neither one was showing am or pm. Luckily I asked Siri
and she announce the time with am/pm.
It frustrating esp having to think if I way overslept or not.
So meantime, if ask Siri is an option for you. Try that.
This answer is so off, especially coming from a community specialist which I assume someone who is well verse with the ios.
Totally agree. My Dad gets disoriented after napping and doesn’t know if it is morning or night. He needs his screen to tell him immediately.
