I have tried every suggestion to raise the volume of my alarm clock to no avail. The alarm functions but at a volume I can barely hear. Sometimes the volume is at the level I have set it on the first tone only, then it reverts to a level I can barely hear. When I first purchased this phone it worked fine but now not at all.

Did you set up the alarm through the Sleep function in Health? If so, there is a separate volume slider there. Health>Sleep>Full Scheduler & Options. Tap on the "Edit" button for the alarm. Swipe down to the bottom and adjust the volume.
