Battery calibration messed up my iphone

So I got iPhone 11 Pro and at first had great battery life 10-12 hours using 4g browsing etc. then I trie battery calibration of drain wait 3 hours charge repeated. Ever since I’m the months I’ve trie restarted, restores. Multiples app background settings and NOTHING works. I took it to Apple Store they said alls fine maybe it’s charger. I try different charger and I got a result, but now when I switch chargers or use any charger whether I charge phone on or off and leave it for many hours or not I get about 5 hours battery lofe

as you can see I’ve charged two times and got 10 hrs screen time. 19% lasts about 51 minutes..

There is no need to calibrate an iPhone battery. The link you used contains garbage; I wasn’t familiar with that site, but I certainly would not use it for any other advice either.

With older iPhones (iPhone 4S and older) you could calibrate the Battery Gauge, but not the battery itself. iPhones from the 5 series and newer did not need this, because the battery gauge is built into the battery. The fact that the author of that article didn’t know this brings into question any advice from them.

But even when you could calibrate the battery gauge you would drain it until it shut off, then charge it immediately. Lithium batteries cannot tolerate going completely flat; if it happens even once it can kill the battery completely, which is probably what you experienced. If you wait several hours after it reaches zero and shuts off the reserve that Apple builds in to prevent the battery from going flat defeats Apple’s battery protection feature.

Are you familiar with Sturgeon’s Law? “90% of everything is garbage” (cleaned up to prevent the automatic censor from masking it). Well, for the Internet it needs to be modified; “99.9% of everything on the internet is garbage.”

Alright so with the battery health being 100% there is not much that you can do. I would open the Apple support app>tap on the device in concern>tap Device Performance>Tap Battery performance. The iPhone will run a hardware test automatically and bring up any possible issues. If nothing comes up, continue through after the test and contact apple support. They will be able to run a remote hardware test which should bring up charging habits and see what is causing the battery drain, and whether or not It is normal for your device to have that issues.

Hope that helps,

Adin
