PLEASE READ! Dust in front facing camera. Anyone else have this problem?

I work in a relatively dusty environment and my iPhone XS is said to have an IP68, which is considered dust proof.

I got a lot of dust in my selfie camera which I assume got there through the ear speaker. (DUSTPROOF!?)

I got it cleaned, and it came right back within another couple of months or so.

Now all of a sudden my ear speaker won’t work, which I assume is also a dust related issue. One of my coworkers who had the same phone as me had the same issues. I’ve seen online that the iPhone XS seems to be known to have a dust problem…

Would Apple be obliged to replace my phone since it’s not what they say it is and I’ll just have to keep spending money to keep fixing their issue?!

No

The iPhone XS was discontinued 3 years ago.

Apple clearly states water/dust resistance is not permanent.

It relies on rubber seals and adhesive that degrades overtime.
