Logic Remote does not connect

My iPad is physically close to my MacBook and yet I see everyone else's MacBooks but not to my own in Logic Remote. Logic Remote on my iPad will only work when physically tethered. If You have used or seen a Macbook Pro 2021, you know there aren't an unlimited number of USB ports. I prefer not being physically tethered to the mac as I want to move around when recording on instruments physically far away from my Macbook
