Logic Remote won't connect after MacOS 12.5.1 update

Was working beautifully before (Logic Pro 10.7.4, Remote version 1.5.2) After updating my MacBook Pro to 12.5.1, Logic Remote will try to connect but fail. My phone shows up in Control Surfaces Setup - deleting it and trying again, even after a restart, same problem. I have checked FireWall settings, Logic is set to allow, nothing changed there. Truly frustrating... any ideas on how to fix?

I'm not sure if you what you mean by "connect" is connecting to your interface, but if so I may have the solution. Disregard if this does not apply.

I was unable to get Logic to recognize my Scarlett i818 interface. After several hours over the last few days checking with discussion groups (some who had the same questions but no answers), talking to Apple support (who told me my Scarlett i818 interface was the problem), downloading the new 10.7.4 and the previous 10.7.3 version of Logic and both new and previous versions of Focusright Control, (the Scarlett interface software) on both computers, I also moved the previous version of Logic (10.7.3) to the 2019 MacBook Pro from my external hard drive back up… still no luck. Then a shot in the dark - for some reason I realized all this time I have been going from the interface to the computer through a USB - C to regular USB adapter. There was no need for the adapter. Both the interface and the computer have USB - 3 ports. So I took the two-ended USB-C cable that goes from my computer power supply to the computer and used it straight from the Scarlett i818 interface to computer. Voila! Logic now recognizes the interface! Maybe the new Mac OS 12.5.1 requires a faster connection?

This also fixed the same problem on my new 2021 M1 computer whether it is the older version of Logic or the newer.

Both devices must be on the same network in order to work. Check network settings and look for IP address. It should look something like below. Make sure the first three groups of number separated by periods are the same. The fourth(last) group is the host address. The last group should be unique, no two devices on the same network.

GOOD

Mac book 192.168.1.100

iPhone. 192.168.1.101

BAD

Mac book 192.168.1.100

iPhone. 192.168.1.100

can’t have tow hosts with .100

Mac book 192.168.1.100

iPhone. 192.168.2.101

on different subnet

The update may have reset your network location IP address.
