Authorization to play song repeatedly required; Authorization doesn't seem to 'stick'

Music version 1.2.5.7; macOS Monterey 12.6.5; MacMini.

I attempt to play a song; prompted to authorize, I succeed and am told my machine was previously authorized, it has been re-authorized. Repeat - same sequence. The authorization doesn't seem to stick?? I signed out of my account, signed back in. Same results?


Anybody have any idea what could be going on?

You got a bad download. Delete and redownload the song which won't play; if you get told that you'll be charged again, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance.
