I’m having some issues with iphone dark mode. Sometimes wallpapers (either Home Screen or Lock Screen) are stuck in dark mode after sunrise. customized wallpaper (created with emoji) only shows background color without any emoji in dark mode. Moreover during dark mode youtube app search shows results in light mode while fonts are stuck (white) in dark mode. any suggestion to fix this problem?

I have been having the same issues now since I upgraded to IOS 16.4.1 I have, before reading the solutions offered, tried this multiple times and it keeps happening. It does clear some things up to completely turn the phone off then back on, but then the problem reappears and/or the problem expands to other areas. in the past few days the apps have been experiencing the problem where some are in dark mode and some turn on in light mode - and today my facetime app started doing it. This appears to be an 'undocumented' bug created with the IOS 16.4.1 update.
Had the same issue. Went into settings>Accessibility >Display and Text Size. the update turned on ‘Smart invert’ apparently it isn’t as smart as the name suggests. Turned that off and it fixed it for me. Hope that helps!!

Users with “stuck on dark mode” problem go below. The solution has been, that iOS Update turns on “Smart invert” of colors for accessibility ..
Thank you, you saved my day. Problem occurred to me with iOS 16.6.
Without any reason, “Smart invert” was selected without I ever used that menu.
