"couldn't communicate with a helper application" when compressing folders on MacOS

I cannot compress any folder with my Mac mini. Every time I try to compress a folder, it comes up with an error "Couldn't communicate with a helper application". The issue came up when I was using 13.2.1, and it exists in 13.3 and 13.3.1 (the version I'm using now).

Here're the details of the issue:

  1. Compress a single file (works)
  2. Compress a folder (not work, fig-1)
  3. Copy-paste a single file (works)
  4. Copy-paste a single file with its folder (not work, fig-2)

I've tried the following:

  1. reinstall or update MacOS (not resolved)
  2. Create a new admin account and log in it (the issue disappears, fig-3)

So, any idea what I could do to solve the issue? Thanks all!!!
