I can't enable "Allow Contact Editing" on my daughter's iPhone

Hi,

I disabled this feature. After a discussion with my wife and daughter, we decided to allow her to add and edit contacts on her phone. When I tried to enable the setting on my iphone, the slider will turn off when I exit the screen. Is there another setting I am missing?

Allow Contact Editing I am having the same issue as other parents with switching off ALLOW CONTACT EDITING in my son’s phone. I’ve used all the methods provided by support such as turning off screen time and restarting phone and resetting screen time again. I even cleared out the phone’s cache. It just kept going back to allowing contact edit. This is a bug that needs to be fixed for the next round of software update. Please look into it quickly or it will make screen time ineffective. Thank you.

Unable to change contact permissions for apps in iOS 18 I recently tried to grant an app access to my contacts but found the contacts page under privacy & security with a list of all my contacts up top and the option to toggle access for apps greyed out/locked. I’m unsure of how to get around this and if there’s a setting elsewhere I have set that’s messing with this. I have a 15 pro running iOS18.0, and my work phone (iPhone 11) still on iOS 17 doesn’t have this issue, which leads me to think it’s a iOS 18 bug. Any ideas?

If these Screen Time changes are not saving as expected, try to restart and update the device first:

If the issue continues, you can disable Screen Time fully on the device. Then enable Screen Time and only the restrictions you’d like again. The following Apple Support article explains more: Set up Screen Time for a family member on iPhone.
