No input from usb audio codec

I recently got an MacBook Pro 2015 and in bought an audio interface ( Behringer UMC22) ,

I tried this with different kinds of daws and it worked perfectly!

I updated the Mac to Big Sur and I changed out the battery, now if I use Audacity I have perfect input from my guitar using the UMC22 but any other programs like garageband don't show any input.

I have set everything like it should, garageband does recognize my interface and I have monitoring set to On..

Still nothing is happening, whatever I do I get no green input signal all.

I there anybody who can tell me what else to do/try ?

Thanks in advance

Also, I've had a similar problem with a Behringer USB Audio coder - the system could not record from it. I learned from an Aucacity post that the System Settings has a section called "Privacy and Security", and under the Microphone sub-settings, there are switches for each application installed, to turn the audio input (Microphone) on or off. In my case, Audacity's audio input (Microphone) was turned off, and sliding it on made it work again. I guess lots of people have this similar problem, and chance to get it going by zapping the PRAM, but the solution is in "Privacy and Security".
