iCloud website "Only files in JPEG format can be uploaded." error for JPEG files.

I'm trying to upload some photos to iCloud via the iCloud website and I keep getting the error "Uploading folders isn't supported. Only files in JPEG format can be uploaded." However, I am only uploading FILES not folders in JPEG. Checked, converted JPEG to JPEG again and still getting this. The site is riddled with bugs and I find it very unreliable. Can anyone help me? Much appreciated.

Hey tudor5808,

We'd recommend reviewing this resource as it provides steps and requirements for uploading photos to iCloud.com: Upload and download photos using iCloud.com - Apple Support

"Upload photos

You can upload JPEG images from your computer to your Personal Library using iCloud.com.

If you want to upload photos to your iCloud Shared Photo Library, use the Photos app on a device with iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, or later.

  1. In Photos on iCloud.com, click the Choose Files button.
  2. Select the photos you want to add from your computer, then follow the onscreen instructions."

If that's not working as expected, we'd recommend trying from another web browser or device if possible to see if the same issue occurs. That would help isolate the issue further.

Thanks!
