My beats connect to my apple watch but only play music at 3/4 speed

My beats fit pro connect to my apple watch and phone fine. They play music from my phone. After initial pairing to my watch first, they will play music on my watch as well. Once I have returned them to the case and closed it, upon taking them out of the case they will connect to my phone first and then my watch. Connection to my phone is good, but the connection to the watch is corrupted. It will play music at 3/4 speed and will only play about 20 seconds of a song and then cut out. I have tried repairing the device to my watch and returning the ear buds back to factory settings, and the same thing happens. I haven't had this problem with ear buds from other brands pairing to my watch in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
