My Guides went missing on my Mac and iPhone. I saw a few people had this issue.
Here is a solution that worked for me:
1) Close Maps
2) Go to Settings/ Apple ID/ iCloud. There make sure BOTH Maps and iCloud Drive are ON.
3) Open Maps and wait a bit. Guides should reappear.

That did not work for me. I'm so heartbroken. I just moved to this city and had around 70 places across 5 or so guides. Those have really helped me run errands since I can see all the places in one guide. Now I don't feel confident creating new guides since I don't know how or where they are saved.
This is so sad. I pray someone says they are working on it.

It did not work; All Maps Guides I have created are gone; my private addresses guides; my business; my travel guides; my shopping guides; still are all gone. Thank you, BK
This issue is also happening to me. In iCloud, both Maps and iCloud Drive are turned On. I lost all the Guides i've added from the past few years.
