No. Not even with a third party app. It is all or nothing for notifications from WhatsApp with Do Not Disturb enabled. Either you can allow ALL notifications from WhatsApp OR None.

WhatsApp is also not compatible with Focus filters. Thanks for bringing this point up, IdrisSeabright.

Third-party apps can't change the basic functioning of the iPhone. I believe that WhatsApp would need to make the app compatible with Focus Filters. As I don't have the app on my phone, I can't tell you if it is or isn't. Go to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb (or whichever) and go all the way to the bottom of the scree and tap "Add Filter". If WhatsApp is compatible, you should see it there.

Thanks for weighing in. It's not an app I use and it seemed a bit much to download it and create an account to test.

The Focus mode can shut off ALL notifications from WhatsApp but not just from certain chosen contacts from WhatsApp. So, at this time, it is not possible.
