Synch iPhone "waiting for items to copy" stuck

So I was able to copy my whole music library yesterday in about an hour. But I reset the iPhone in order to use Move to IOS for my Whatsapp messages. Anyway, afterwards I left the music synching when I went to work.

I came back home and was previously an almost complete gray bar is now empty and it's stuck on "synching artwork (step 4 of 4) - Waiting for items to copy".

Now this took an hour yesterday, and now nearly 6 hours have passed and it's stuck. I saw saw that many people have had this issue. Glancing at other threads I didn't see a ready solution, but I have to go to work again now and I was hoping someone could help with this issue.

I tried to restart the computer but it was stopped by IOS being in use. I don't know if it's safe to disconnect the iPhone, but like this I can't take it with me and use it as a phone.

We'd be happy to help. If we understand correctly, you have a concern about the time you see for content to sync from a computer to an iPhone.

The amount of time needed would vary depending on the amount of content. Has it made any progress since you posted here?

Also, are you using a PC, or a Mac? Which software version? As a start, if you're using a PC, ensuring you have the most current version of iTunes is a good step: Update iTunes on PC - Apple Support
