I accidentally tried to put all my music from MacBook Pro on to an old iPhone when there wasn't enough room. It is stuck in "waiting for changes to be applied' I have switched ports, switched both machines on off and on again but no joy. Grateful for any help.

Look for the the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the window.
If syncing does automatically begin, clock the Sync button.

Many thanks Jeff, I much appreciate you taking the trouble to respond. It was that it wouldn't stop trying to sync, rather than it wouldn't start to do so. After about 24 hours it did stop by itself. Similar thing happened when I tried to load to four songs, as a test. I suspect the iPhone (iPhone 4) may be too old to act as a music carrier.
I phone won't stop syncing.
