How to sync podcasts to an iPod Shuffle (MacBook, Music (NOT iTunes)

Podcasts are not showing as an option in the Finder window for the iPod, nor in the Music app (screenshot below).

How do I add podcasts?

Running most recent everything. iPod Software Version 1.0.2, Ventura OS, Music 1.3.3.2

Thanks in advance!

That was not helpful at all, I wonder why you even bothered to reply to my post? Maybe you’re a bot?

Hello sdpg,

If you're having issues with syncing Podcasts between your Mac and iPod, then we'd recommend checking and confirming the following (test the issue after each step):

  1. The Mac is completely up to date: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
  2. Confirm Time & Date are correct for your location in System Settings > General > Time & Date.
  3. Restart the network router (contact your ISP for how-to steps)
  4. Restart both devices normally.
  5. Disable any VPN or security software, as these may cause issues with the connection. (You may need to remove these from the device to resolve the issue.) Learn more here: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support

If you are still missing the option to sync Podcasts, then it would be best to contact Apple Support directly. Here's how you could do that: Contact Apple Support They'll need to take it from here.

Take care.

Hello Sdpg,

We see that you do not have the option to sync podcasts between your Mac and your iPod Shuffle. We'd like to provide you with a few details that may be able to help resolve this issue:

"If you have iPod classic, iPod nano, or iPod shuffle: You have to sync your device with your Mac. There’s no other way to add content to it.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: You only need to sync with your Mac when you have new or updated content.

If you prefer not to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you don’t have to. You can download items from the iTunes Store, the App Store, Apple Books, and other Apple services directly to your devices. You can also use iCloud to keep items up to date across your devices."

Best regards.
