My iPhone records my voice and adds what I say in the reply text field.

After I read a text, my iPhone 13 continues to record my voice and adds what I say in the reply text field. I am terrified that I am going to accidentally send that recorded text! I saw the answer to another person who had the same issue, but the reply actions to her were not consistent with what is on my phone. Help!

You may have set Voice Control set to ON. Double Check this Setting by opening the Settings app ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Voice Control: Set this switch to OFF.
