Sound cuts out and slow to respond after update to ios 16.3.1

Every so often an issue occurs, where the sound cuts out and then resumes every few seconds while watching video or listening to a podcast. Also when this sound in & out issue is occurring, the video/audio buttons are slow to respond - eg. pause, stop, exit out of app. This issue has started occurring after updating to iOS 16.3.1 (from iOS 15.2) on iPhone 8. Restarting the app I'm currently using or restarting iPhone doesn't help. But have found a hard reset has solved the issue until it next decides to occur.

Is this a known bug? Is there anything I can do to stop this occurring?

About Update Errors:

This can occur due to a corrupt install. So, try installing this update once more, this time using a computer.

A. Updating Using a Computer:

Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip. If any updates are availabe, they will install, sure enough.

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
