I recently did an upgrade a few days ago to the latest version. I left my phone on the charger overnight and woke up with the screen completely black. force restarting didn't work, but after multiple tries I heard it vibrate as if it is turning on. However, I keep seeing this arrow on my screen even though it is black. what could possibly be wrong? It is fully charged so I don't understand!

If the phone is really charged, the 3-button forced restart should work.
Are you using a wired charger? If so, try this:
Check the charging port for lint or other debris (use a bright light and a toothpick).
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t charge
Then, see this:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t turn on or is frozen
Note: the timing of the 3-button sequence can be a little tricky. You may need to try it several times. It may be necessary to hold the power button for up to 30 seconds.
