Deleted Apple Emails Return on Android Device

Not sure if you guys have found a solution yet. I am using an Android phone and syncing my icloud mails to it. I read something about having a second trash in icloud, so I wanted to go check that out and delete it. Meanwhile on my phone I went to my apple inbox, selected the trash, waited a while for it to sync/load and now when I delete mails, they stay away. Hope this helps - it worked for me (don't ask me how).

• What web browser are you using? Does it happen on multiple browsers?
• Are you running the latest software version for your device?
• It sounds like this is a new issue; what changed with your device since the last time it worked as expected?
• Are you able to check your iCloud email from an Apple device? If so, do you experience the same issue?

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm having the same problem here and havent seem seemed to find a solution. I've tried to reinstall the app and re add my icloud and nothing seems to work.
