Can’t delete iCloud email

When I try to delete iCloud email (in native mail app) - it won’t delete, they disappear briefly and then come back. Happening on my phone and my laptop. When I use web version at iCloud.com I get an error message “cannot move message to trash”.

Deleted Apple Emails Return on Android Device For the past couple weeks, my Apple emails won't delete when using my Android phone. This was never an issue before, but now when I open my Apple email on the Android phone and then delete emails, they repopulate. When I attempt to then check my trash folder, it opens for a second and then disappears. This happens when opening the Apple email directly, or within the Android mail Widget by checking "All Inboxes" I have no problem with my emails not deleting when viewing these while using my Apple devices. Any fix recommendations?

deleted email disappear, trash is always empty This involves apple mail. When I delete an email it does not go to trash, it disappears and my trash file is always empty. When I delete an email in error I can never retrieve it again.
