Hiding calendar dots for some of my events

How do I make certain calendar events not show dots on the month view, but still show up normally in the day view?

I have some frequently recurring events in my calendar (let's call one of them "Lunch" or another "Weekly cleaning") - that I don't want to see as dots on each and every day (or Saturday for the cleaning) in the month view.

Platform: iPhone. The events are in the "On My iPhone / Calendar" calendar. The events do have alerts enabled.

Alternate request: How do I make the other events (the ones that are really unique / important) show up with a different colour dot? That way I can tell if it's the same old stuff, or something special.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Thanks for reaching out AlexP_RO,

It sounds like you want to better manage your calendar alerts. We can help.

A great place to start is with this guide to Keep track of events in Calendar on iPhone. It will show you how to customize your calendar, create multiple calendars to sort a variety of events, and color-code as needed.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
