My iPhone 11 does not always notify me of a text message. It is intermittent. Sometimes I get an audible notification, sometimes not. I am getting notifications on my watch however which works off my watch since it is not cellular....does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens. Settings seem to be correct, sound is on and up, do not disturb is off. I'm baffled.
If you have Do Not Disturb or another Focus profile activated, try disabling it.
You can do this in the Control Center. Pull the Control Center down from the top right corner. Find the Focus Button, just below Screen Rotate Lock and Screen Mirror, tap and deactivate the active profile.
If Do Not Disturb or another Focus profile activates automatically, then a Schedule is active.
To disable or delete this schedule, go to:
Settings → Focus → Select Profile → find SET A SCHEDULE → Tap into the time → tap Delete Schedule or just deactivate.

Check if Hide Alerts have been activated for one or more of your SMS conversations.
Look for a small "crossed out bell". out of the conversations. You deactivate Hide Alerts by swiping from left to right on the conversation in the overview and tapping the purple bell.
