Repeated notification on read texts - MUCH more than twice

I have received the same text notifications at least a dozen times in the last 30 minutes. I have already read and responded to the messages and my phone KEEPS sending the notifications. I am doing other things and it buzzes, like there's a new message, but it's the same 3 or so messages that I received (from two different people) more than 30 minutes ago. I don't mind the repeat notification reminder if I haven't read a text and it buzzes again, but this is insane. I'm also not getting notifications on my watch anymore, but that's a whole other issue.

Anyone else have this happen??
