Multiple Received SMS Texts
Hello. As of a few days ago, whenever I receive a text message from an Android user, I get re-sent that same text multiple times over the course of hours… and it is not multiple notifications of the same text, it is the same text being re-sent to me multiple times, even though the sender only sent it once. It will not stop unless I do a network settings reset, but will start happening again the next time I receive a text from an Android user. I am using an iPhone 11 updated to iOS 16.3.1. Also important to note that I have done every other kind of reset/restore of my iPhone to fix this problem and nothing has worked permanently. Also also important to note that while this is happening, if I respond to the message, my contact will receive the response but if they respond to my response, it will get stuck in limbo behind their original message that I keep receiving repeatedly, and there is no way for me to get their response unless I reset network settings. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know if this is a software issue or a carrier issue? I am with Verizon, but none of my Verizon friends are having this problem, even the ones who are also using iPhone with iOS 16.3.1.
