iPhone X Text Failure Sending (only) to Android Phones

Two days ago, texts to Android phones (new and replies) began failing. "Message Send Failure", "Not Delivered", and "red '!' in a circle" appear immediately after "send". Have tried multiple adjustments to settings and have reset the phone, but these have not resolved the problem.

Continuing to receive texts from Android phones, but can't reply or send new texts to Android phones. Compared settings with another iPhone without this problem and the settings appear to be identical. Have tried sending texts to multiple Android phones. Same problem every time.

Hello scrats12,

If you're unable to send SMS messages, you'll need to contact your wireless carrier as the SMS messaging service is something that comes from them.

Before contacting them, here's some basic steps you can try: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!

Thank you so much! You are exactly correct!

Actually, visited the Verizon store yesterday and connected with Verizon tech support this morning. The fix had to be done by Verizon tech support on their end (not in the phone settings).

There is a lot of communication about this issue in the community and online...sadly, most of it wrong. Wish this information could be communicated globally as the problem affects many.

Thank you, again, and have a blessed day! :)
