5g not working since iOS 16.0.2

I saw this post on the developer forum from a month ago, they were directed here but can't find a similar post. I updated to ios 16.0.2 last week and since then, 5g just hadn't worked, it's up there on the status bar, 3/4 bars. But it just doesn't load YouTube pages, safari pages, discord etc. As soon as I drop to 4g it works. As I said there were a couple guys with the same issue but I can't find a thread here and any input would be invaluable. Done all typical troubleshooting, tried SIM in another phone, worked fine. Issue only arose since iOS 16.0.2.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with using 5G on your iPhone. We'd like to help.

You mentioned that you just updated to iOS 16.0.2. Is that the version you're currently running? We ask because there are updates that can be done that may help with your issue. The current version is iOS 16.3.1.

Check out these steps to update your iPhone to the most recent version: Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Make sure to pay close attention to step 1 and create or verify a backup before updating.

Let us know if you still have issues with your 5G after that.

Yeah same issue on 16.3 as on 16.0.2, 5g is there on the status bar but nothing loads, discord, YouTube, safari, nothing. iOS 15 was spot on, but iOS 16 is a bug riddled mess, my own fault for updating I suppose.

To add to this, I got through to Apple support, who proceeded to twice tell me they're escalating it to their senior team member, and that they'd be in touch 3pm the next day, and never made contact either time. Starting to lose faith in Apple at this point.
