Clipping iMovie
When I clip a movie and play it in a powerpoint the original movie is displayed including the section I clipped??

To review the necessary procedure: First clip (trim?) the clip in iMovie. Share (export) it out. Import into Powerpoint.
Once the movie is exported out of iMovie all trims and deleted segments are eliminated. Powerpoint cannot insert them back because the trimmed portions were never rendered when exported.
