Whole tab group gone

I had a whole tab group just disappear out of nowhere. Upwards of 80 tabs. I didn’t update the phone, I didn’t restart the phone, I didn’t even close the safari app down. I was literally reading one of the tabs an hour before, put the phone away and when I went back to read later nothing was there. Not just a few tabs, the whole group was gone like it never existed. I checked on my ipad and the group was there, but when I clicked on it it said it was not shared or something and there was no tabs in it.

I already checked a few things:

• They’re not in the closed tabs
• Already restarted the phone and it didn’t help
• I don’t have automatic closing for my tabs
• icloud sync is on and has plenty with space

Why has this happened and can I get the tabs back?
