Hide Alerts issue

I created a group but I can’t turn off hide alerts after leaving a previous group chat. How do I turn off the hide alerts if it won’t let me?

You can deactivate Hide Alerts by swiping from left to right on the conversation in the overview and tapping the purple bell.

I have a group chat with 16 of my cousins that drives me nuts because it goes off all day long Is there a simple way to disable the notifications for that group chat but still get notifications if an individual within that group sent me a message on my iPhone?

muted groupchat still shows banners imessage I have a muted group chat but notifications still appear on my Lock Screen. I used to hide alerts on iMessage and no badges would appear on the lock screen at all. Now when I get a message from a group chat that I hid alerts on it still appears on the lock screen. Is there any way to disable this, or is it a glitch? I have no clue why if a group chat is muted it would still put notifications on the Lock Screen.

hide alerts not working on group message I am having an issue with hide alerts on my iPhone 12 pro max.I have one group message that I have enabled hide alerts on. Unfortunately, I am still getting alerts on that thread. My other group message that I hide alerts on works perfectly. It’s just this one group message, and it’s really annoying because people respond all the time. I have tried restarting my phone. I have toggled the hide alerts on and off. It’s just this one thread, and it seems rather odd. It started about a month ago. HELP!
