Menu bar missing and no control of anything

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro for work running MacOS Monterey 12.6.3.

Menu bar missing and no control of anything when I reboot the machine, and I have to reinstall to the OS to get the manu bar whenever this happens. I saw the same issue reported :Menu bar missing and no control of anythi… - Apple Community but no one has better solution. Any Idea how to get resolve this issue? I think it related to the bugs in MacOS Monterey. It seems Apple becomes the comapany produces low quality and ugly products ever since steve jobs gone.

1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

2 - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance

3 - Does the issue present in this mode ?

4 - Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.

5 - If not - there could be something in the main User Account playing up. To further isolate this - Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. Then log out of the Main User account and log into the dummy account and test again if the issue persists.

6 - If the issue is present in the dummy account - then, this appears to be a System Wide issue on the computer.

7 - Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid from added features.

Have looked at the report.

Below are only aspects pertaining to the contain of the computer as it relates to the Menu Bar issue.

Though, there are some “ Noteworthy Others Issues “  which in good conscience can not be overlooked

Low performance - EtreCheck report took an unusually long time to run. Runtime: 5:59

Performance: Below Average

The fact the light weight Application Etrecheck took 5:59 Minutes to run and complete.

This is a very telling indicator of the Age and Condition of this computer.

Major Issues:

Battery failure - Your battery is reporting that it needs to be serviced.

Battery: Health = Service Battery - Cycle count = 802

High battery cycle count - Your battery may be losing capacity.

Batteries are considered Consumable Products. Over time it will degrade to a point where it needs to be replaced.

The usage is normal as the capacity will go up and down all the time and never stay always at 100%. Apple Batteries are rated for 1000 Full Battery Cycles and / or 80% Capacity before needing Evaluation or replacement

Malware - Malware detected.

Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed that could be malicious and should be reviewed.

Configuration profiles found - This computer may have configuration profiles installed. These are sometimes used by malware.

Malware:

  Launchd: /Library/LaunchAgents/com.MyMacUpdater.agent.plist

Executable: /Applications/MyMacUpdater/MyMacUpdater -guid 18087109644671125 -source mm-1821 -url http://request.macmymacupdater.com/macCheckForUpdates/ -brand MyMacUpdater

    Reason: Malware name match

Launch Agents:

  [Not Loaded] com.MyMacUpdater.agent.plist (Malware - installed 2023-02-21)

    Command: /Applications/MyMacUpdater/MyMacUpdater -guid 18087109644671125 -source mm-1821 -url http://request.macmymacupdater.com/macCheckForUpdates/ -brand MyMacUpdater -current_version 1000

This computer is been infected with Malware

The Etrecheck Application should have offered to Remove this Malware .

Has the user availed themselves of this builtin feature  to remove the Malware ?

 Minor Issues:

No Time Machine backup - Time Machine backup not found.

As it is right now, the user is prepared to loose ALL Personal and Very Important Personal Data and Files

If this is not what they want , it is suggested to get an External Drive that is at least 2.5X Greater Drive capacity than the Internal Drive

Make Time Machine Backup  is very useful

There are no known Windows-like Viruses in the wild that self replicate and affect macOS, because of the underling UNIX  Foundation and Permission Limitation.

Additionally, in macOS 11 Big Sur, macOS 12 Monterey and macOS 13 Ventura.

The Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that can not be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

The only Entity that can open and modify or alter this Volume is Apple.

That would occur when a update or UpGrade is performed.

The Only thing this Antivirus software is protecting is the Bank Account of the Developers and for zero return to the User aside from the problems this software creates.

AntiVirus Developers purposefully Market their product to create a “ Fear Factor “. In so doing, creating a False Need for their Product.

The The Built in Security  is all that is required to protect the computer.

Any of the below should be removed as per Developers Instructions

Avast AntiVirus
