How do I stop my iPhone from randomly connecting to my MacBook?

My iPhone likes to connect to my MacBook periodically throughout the day. I don't know what benefit it might give me, but I definitely know the drawbacks. It makes an annoying sound, and even interrupts some services, such as Spotify--which technically keeps playing, on my MacBook, but I guess is trying to play the audio through my phone, but still not making any sound on either device.

How do I tell my phone to never connect to my computer again?!

Hey there roko_bachillisk,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. From what you've described, it sounds like your iPhone and Mac may be connected via a Continuity feature, such as AirPlay. AirPlay allows you to mirror or stream content from your iPhone to your Mac. You can get more information on that here: Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

If that does not solve the issue, please don't hesitate to respond back.

Best.
