airtag to help alert for a theft?

Instead of keys or wallet those items I carry with me, what if I attach AirTag to my valuable item that I have kept at home, can I set an alert to me once that valuable item is taken out away from my home (for example, got stolen from my home and so I will be alert right away )

What is the trigger for AirTag to alert it is in your possion? What is the trigger for AirTag to alert it is in your prossion? If you have an AirTag in your car, bikecycle, bag or so and someone steal it, the theif get a notification there is an AirTag and they can easy remove it. How does this help and can it be prevented? Understand that your shouldn't be ablt to track an ex girl friend or so, but how is this issue solved?

AirTags seem to have been designed to notify a thief if they steal a tagged item. Furthermore, after a theft the thief has been given instructions so that they may disable the AirTag. Is this generally the situation?

The airtag will beep alerting any thief to the tag’s presence.

Plus, FindMy only alerts you when the tag has simply been “Left Behind” (not moved WITH YOU), NOT when it’s simply been moved.

Air tags are NOT designed to be criminal investigative or alerting tools.
