when I am trying to allow a purchase on my child’s iPhone with Family Share it prompts me verify the credit card. A verification code is sent to my phone and I enter it on my child’s phone but it will not let me select the blue ‘verify’ button on the top right, only the back option will work. Any suggestions? Apple Pay works just fine on my phone so I know the card info is correct.
I am having the exact same issue. My 8 year old want an in app purchase. 1) i do not get the notifications for approval. 2) if i turn purchase approval required off, her ipad says verify payment method but i cannot click on anything to do that on her ipad (‘contact family organizer’). Payment methods on my phone have all been updated. I rebooted several times… please somebody help ‘cause i am desperate.
2024 and I experienced the same issue with the iPhone 14 (mine) and iPhone 12 (my child's). I just added my child's phone number to my list of "trusted phone numbers," which is located under two-factor authentication on the Sign-In & Security option in the settings on my iPhone 14. *Note: You may have to toggle off "Content & Privacy Restrictions." before you can do this. I hope this helps someone!
Here is the path to follow:
Settings -> Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases -> Sign-In & Security -> Two-Factor Authentication -> Trusted Phone Numbers -> Edit -> Add Trusted Phone Number -> Done
I had this same problem! I needed to turn off the rotation lock. When I had it horizontal it didn't work but when the screen was vertical it did work. Although it took a minute longer to turn than it usually did, but I did get it eventually. Hope this helps someone!
Had the same issue. Try turning on ask to buy. You will have to enter your Apple ID to approve the purchase and then it will still request the verification code, only this time it works when you tap verify.
I get such screen on my kid's phone, I enter valid CVV code, but can't press Done button, it seems like a bug..

Try resetting the passcode or changing it. Turn off restrictions temporarily. Also try to erase payment method from your account, wait one minute and then re add it
Have you tried adding money to their devices either via Apple Cash or Apple gift card? That may work.
I was thinking about that to, started trying to do that, but i do not, nor have i ever used Apple cash so i got stuck not knowing how to do it.
Has anyone figured this out? Now I have two payment methods to be verified but can’t click on either!
Also make sure that you have competed the “finish setting up ipad” under Settings.
After working for a few days I am back at square one, all payments verified but apps won't download from app store again. Just spinning circle. So frustrating, back at square one. Any ideas?
It’s not allowing you to click on Verify. So this does not resolve the issue. It says verify but it doesn’t go anywhere when you click on it.
You are a lifesaver! This worked for me. Turned off Purchase Sharing under the Family organizer’s Apple ID and turned it back on. Everyone can now download from the App Store
