Still no luck with the latest update. 16.1 worked fine with music automations with HomePod mini (as hub) and Belkin Soundform.
As soon as I added an AppleTV as a hub, all the music automations worked!
Apple - what did you do to the Mini as a hub since 16.1??

Set up HomePod mini or HomePod as a home hub
When you set up HomePod mini and HomePod,* they automatically become home hubs. Just make sure that you're signed in to iCloud on your iPhone or iPad with the Apple ID that you used to set up your HomeKit and Matter accessories in the Home app.
If your home hub isn't working as expected
•Check that your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad is up to date.
•Make sure that the user signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV is the primary Home app user, and not an invited user.
•Turn on iCloud Keychain and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID.
•Check that the device that you set up as a home hub is in your home, connected to your home Wi-Fi network, and powered on.

We'd like to verify the exact versions that are installed on your devices. The ones you list are not matching up with the current showing available.
iOS devices - iOS 16.3.1
HomePod - HomePodOS 16.3.2
Apple TV - tvOS 16.3.2
Can you confirm these are the versions you are currently running?

I never had an AppleTV set up as a hub when 16.1 worked.
I do not want to add this to my set up.
Only used an AppleTV to verify that something is going on with the Mini as a hub now.
3+ hours with Apple Support.
They haven't helped.
Hopefully someone on here has the same set up as I do,

Is your router WiFi6 or 6e? Try going into your router and turn off AX features. No idea why, but I was having numerous connection/network issues with my OG HomePod pair and HomePod minis, all of which disappeared after turning off AX features.
Never changed set up I had with iOS 16.1

I've had the router for two years, so I would have to say yes.
Like I stated earlier, if I use an AppleTV as a Hub, all my automations work.....
