Problems with HomeKit iOS 17

1) HomePod in one room has been stuck on “Configuring” status since the iOS 17.1 update. I have reset it twice, no change.

2) Apple TV in the same room has disappeared from the room in the home app. After resetting it TWICE I was able to assign it to the correct room, but it still isn’t showing in the home app.

3) NONE of my three Apple TVs and five HomePods are responding, so there are no home hubs.

4) Some automations (for various smart plugs) seem to work properly, some behave unpredictably.

Unfortunately this did not resolve it for me. Tried by removing AppleTV from the Home app, also tried by removing it from within AppleTV settings - both times leaving it disconnected from power for ~7-10 minutes.

My wife’s iPhone on 17.0.1 has no issues. AppleTV is on tvOS 17.1. Hopefully Apple recognizes this and releases a fix soon.

Both Apple TVs stopped responding today on my iPhone (17.1.1), only when on cellular.

Two other iPhones at home (16.6.1 and 17.0.3) do not have this issue. iOS 17.1.x seems to be the culprit.

I was able to resolve the problem by removing all Apple TVs and HomePod from my Home in the Home app. I then disconnected them from power for ten minutes, and added them back one at a time ensuring they connected properly in the Home app.

Frustrating process, but it worked.

The only thing I can offer is to ensure that every device in HomeKit has its most recent updates. Ensure that there’s an AppleTV or HomePod assigned as a HomeHub. This should happen automatically.

if all else fails remove all devices from HomeKit, disconnect from power, restart then one-by-one and add them again to HomeKit.

Hi, I had intermittent problems on my end and read in a forum in Canada that HP printers might interfere with the signal path of some or most Apple Home pods. Try removing the HP printer or your printer from your network.... it might work.
