Another Problem with AirPods Pro 2 Playing MP3

A version of this problem has been addressed elsewhere, but this one has a couple of additional diagnostic facts. My new AirPods Pro 2 will easily pair with, and play audio from, all sources (e.g., TV and iPad) except my two MP3 devices. My MP3 devices are from different manufacturers, but neither is an iPod. That suggested to me that there was a problem with the Bluetooth on my MP3 devices. However, I just paired one of the MP3 devices via Bluetooth to my TV, and played music from the MP3 device through the TV speakers with no problem. One more fact. When I have my Pro 2 paired with my MP3 device, even though I cannot hear the music, if I turn off the MP3 device, I will hear the brief sound through my Pro 2 that it makes when it is no longer paired. So, apparently, it does pair with the MP3 device, but for some reason is not receiving the music. (I have tried all the fixes suggested in other answers to similar questions--no luck).

As I think my original post made clear ("(I have tried all the fixes suggested in other answers to similar questions--no luck)"), I have already tried all the standard remedies/procedures on threads similar to this one. They don't work.

The following information applies specifically to pairing AirPods with non-Apple devices:

You can use AirPods as a Bluetooth headset with a non-Apple device. You can't use Siri, but you can listen and talk. To set up your AirPods with an Android phone or other non-Apple device, follow these steps:

1: On your non-Apple device, go to the settings for Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on.4 If you have an Android device, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
2: With your AirPods in the charging case, open the lid.
3: Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.
4: When your AirPods appear in the list of Bluetooth devices, select them.

Note that the features of your AirPods might be limited, depending on the Bluetooth device that they're connected to.

Take care!
