How can I get back a unsent message?

If you have not sent the message yet, and deleted the text that has been written, it is not saved anywhere. If you have deleted a sent message, you can always look in the Recently Deleted folder.

In the Messages app, tap Edit in the top right corner and go to the Recently Deleted folder.
