Homepod and smart home

Hello,

I’m planning to setup my smart home, I use a mesh routers units.

My question is can a HomePod automate and control devices connected to other mesh units?

Can HomePod communicate with Google Home App? I don't have first-hand experience, but it ought to work. Everything connected to the mesh should be a visible peer to everything else.
