Carplay Maps no longer has my contacts

Up until the recent update, I was able to use carplay to get directions to people in my contact. Either by typing it in the search or asking siri. For example, I’d ask “Hey Siri, take me to Nay’s house.” Voila! it would get me directions.

But now it won’t show anyone in my contacts. Only yelp results. And when I ask Siri, it says she can’t give me that information while I’m driving. Even when I am parked. WTF?

How do I set it up so that Apple Maps on CARPLAY can start using my contacts again.

Everything works phone on the phone itself.
