Good day, I update my Os to Ventura yesterday but up until now its still showing 20hrs and 6minutes. I tried to reboot and do the recovery mode but it still gave me the same issue. I did try resetting the nvram ad smc but it did not change the issue, my macbook is still stuck on the log inscreen. Does anybody know how can I fix this issue? Appreciate some of your advices. Thanks
An update would be going from say, Monterey 12.6 to Monterey 12.6.2
An upGrade would be going from say Monterey macOS 12 to Ventura macOS 13
Shutdown by holding the Power Button until is goes Off.
Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.
Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance
This may or may not allow the upGrade process to complete and hopefully successfully
From what Previous version of mcOS is this computer being upGraded from ?
How if the computer connected to the Internet ?
How much Empty Space is available on the computer ? Usually suggest at least 50 GB of Empty Space
This will allow the Full Version of Ventura ( about 12.26 GB ) to download, Expand and then commence the Installation process
