IOS 16 on 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Generation?

I have an Apple IPad Pro 12.9 inch 2nd Generation which was released in June 2017. It’s a 256 GB 4G LTE.

Wondering if anyone has this specific device back from 2017 and if you are running the IOS 16 on it with good results with the responsiveness and performance??? I’m worried that if I make this update to IOS 16 that my whole iPad is going to take a dive in the deep-end of the pool of performance and simply not run as well as it is with IOS 15. Please share your experience and thoughts towards this! I know at some point even if your device is capable of updating to the latest IOS, I fear I’m going to loose some performance since it’s an older device and I have been lucky so far up to IOS 15. Thank you😊

Hey Techmonster82,

We'd be happy to help out. While we don't have your exact model iPad Pro, Apple does not release software for devices that aren't capable of running them at a satisfactory level of performance. If it's compatible with your device, then it has hardware more than capable of running it smoothly.

If you have any other questions or concerns after the update, don't hesitate to reach out to Apple for further support here: Get Support

We hope this helps out.

Take care!
